The aim – to investigate the contents of sP-selectin in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (DM) and arterial hypertension (AH) of I–II degree or without AH. 137 patients with type 2 diabetes with AH of I–II degree and without AH were observed; control group consisted of 32 virtually healthy subjects. All patients underwent daily blood pressure monitoring, HbA1c and sP-selectin levels determination. Analysis of results was performed depending on the duration of DM. The level of sP-selectin was highest in patients with DM more than 10 years and have accompanying AН; in case of minor duration of type 2 diabetes, the presence of AН didn’t significantly affect the level of sP-selectin.
