The aim of the study was to evaluate the clinical course of postinfarction period during 2-years follow-up, efficacy of treatment and compliance. Clinical information was received in 153 patients among 422, who had
myocardial infarction. During 2-years follow-up 10 patients died. It was established, that invasive strategy in acute phase prevented hospitalizations, repeated myocardial infarctions, was followed by increased com pliance to dual antithrombotic therapy, with more often major bleedings compared to aspirin monotherapy. Patients with diabetes mellitus received dual antithrombotic therapy two times more often. In general, these results were quite unexpected due to good compliance and low level of bleeding.
