S.М. Kozhukhov.Frequency, clinical course and prognostic significance of permanent atrial fibrillation in patients with acute decompensated heart failure.

Permanent atrial fibrillation (AF) plays an important role in acute decompensated heart failure (ADHF), but there is limited information regarding their temporal relations and the combined influence of these conditions on mortality and hospitalization. We studied 116 patients with ADHF (medium age 67.5±1.04 years), 62 patient with AF and 54 with sinus rhythm. AF was not associated with increased mortality and hospitalizations during two years by Kaplan – Meier curves.
