The aim of the research was to study the hormonal profile in women with ischemic heart disease (IHD) with androgenic component, as well as its links to lipid spectrum and body composition in fertile age and during menopause according to the epidemiologic and clinical investigation. Two hundred women with IHD were studied. Androgenic features were revealed more often in young women with IHD and preserved menstrual cycle. Decrease of estradiol and increase of testosterone was detected twice more often in women of fertile age. Women with IHD and androgenic component had significantly lower levels of progesterone, estradiol and increased level of cortisol at menopause compared to patients at fertile age. Increase of the body mass index and abdominal obesity, as well as lipid profile disorders were mostly revealed at the climacteric age in female patients with IHD and androgenic features.
