V.V. Bugayenko, V.A. Slobodskoi, V.V. Tovstukha Co-morbid conditions: coronary heart disease and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease

The presence of coronary heart disease (CHD), hypertension, heart failure in combination with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), requires the combined action of cardiologists and pulmonologists. The
paper presents data on the incidence of co­morbid conditions and COPD, CHD and clinical course of CHD. The problems of drug treatment of co­morbid conditions are discussed. Adequate сombined medical treatment of
patients with CHD and COPD will provide an opportunity not only to prevent the progression of each disease, but also to improve long­term prognosis.
