The aim of the study was to establish additional criteria for diagnosis of chronic diffuse myocarditis and dilated cardiomyopathy, including speckle-tracking echocardiography and immunologic markers. Comparative analysis of speckle-tracking echocardiography results based on the assessment of the global longitudinal, circumferential and radial deformations and their velocities was performed in this study, combined with evaluation of immunologic markers and correlation analysis. We detected additional markers which may be helpful in differential diagnosis between myocarditis and dilated cardiomyopathy, i.e. global longitudinal and circumferential deformation.
