G.V. Dzyak, O.O. Khaniukov.Usage of the combined gluconic acid drug and amiodarone to restore sinus rhythm in atrial fibrillation.

The aim of the research was to study the efficiency and safety of drug cardioversion with amiodarone and combined gluconic acid drug in patients with atrial fibrillation. The efficiency of rhythm restoration within 48 hours by combined administration of amiodarone and gluconic acid drug was comparable to the efficiency of the reference amiodarone (68.0 and 64.4 %, respectively). The combination therapy was more effective regarding reduction of heart rate and additional antihypertensive effect than monotherapy with amiodarone. Amiodarone usage combined with gluconic acid drug does not cause clinically significant QT interval prolongation, thus increasing the safety profile of amiodarone.
